About Wimbledon Light Opera Society
Founded in 1929, Wimbledon Light Opera Society (WLOS) has been entertaining South West London for over 95 years.
We perform two stage musicals anda cabaret each year, and occasionally revues and concerts. We rehearse in Wimbledon Village, and perform in venues in Wimbledon, Fulham and Kingston. Our aim is to join people together through their love of musicals through performing, producing and enjoying quality shows.

WLOS Values
WLOS is committed to being a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels respected, valued, and at home. We believe in treating all members, supporters, and audiences with dignity, kindness, and fairness.

We are mindful of how our words and actions affect others and aim to communicate with sensitivity and respect, even when opinions differ.

WLOS is passionate about theatre and believes in the power of amateur drama to enrich lives and bring people together. We want our society to reflect the richness and diversity of the community around us and are committed to actively encouraging participation from people of all backgrounds, including those who are underrepresented.

We have zero tolerance for discrimination and will not accept unfair treatment on any grounds. Equality, respect, and inclusion sit at the heart of everything we do, both on and off the stage.
Wimbledon Light Opera Society (WLOS) is a friendly, inclusive community committed to creating high-quality musical theatre in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. We expect all members to treat each other with kindness, fairness, and professionalism, and to work together as a team both on and off stage.

We have zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying, harassment, or abusive behaviour. Everyone is welcome at WLOS, regardless of background or personal characteristics, and we are proud of our diverse and inclusive society.

Auditions, rehearsals, and performances should be approached with respect, preparation, and commitment. Members are expected to:

-
Be punctual, reliable, and prepared.
-
Communicate openly and honestly, especially about availability.
-
Respect casting decisions and follow instructions from the production team.
-
Take care of rehearsal spaces, costumes, props, sets, and equipment.
-
Arrive fit to perform and never take part under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
All members should help maintain a positive atmosphere where people feel safe, valued, and supported. Bullying or harassment in any form will be taken seriously.

If you have any concerns, you can speak confidentially to a Committee member or the production team. WLOS will listen, support you, and take appropriate action where needed. No one will be treated unfairly for raising a concern in good faith.

Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in action, including removal from a production or, in serious cases, from the Society.

At WLOS, we are a community. By following this Code, we ensure our society remains a creative, welcoming, and joyful place to share our love of musical theatre.
